I’m a Freelance Instructional Designer and Developer with a passion for finding creative solutions to problems. I’ve been working to help people learn since 2010 in both public and private sector roles. 

With an MEd in Open, Distance, and Digital Education, a BEd, and a BA in Political Science, I’ve embraced my love of learning as both a learner and an educator. My most recent obsession has been learning to wield Artificial Intelligence to improve my workflow, enhance my designs, and engage my audiences.

While I base my design process on established theories and processes that I’ve accumulated through my professional and academic career, especially the ADDIE model, this work gives me plenty of room to embrace my creative impulses. 

Working as a Freelance Instructional Designer lets me indulge my need to discover and create new things, solve new puzzles, and interact with new people from all over. Doing so primarily remotely lets me provide responsive support to all of my clients. It has also allowed me to embrace my country bumpkin lifestyle in rural Alberta with my beautiful wife Anna, and our two children.
